"With My love and blessing, Rowan"
Hundreds of media items report on the investiture of Katharine Jefferts Schori as the 26th Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church. Thousands of people from all orders of ministry attended the event at The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Many, many more, watched the live webcast together, at parishes throughout the country and the world.
Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, greeted the new Presiding Bishop through his representative, Bishop John Saxbee of Lincoln, Church of England. As reported by Michael Davies of Episcopal News Service, The Archbishop sent his prayers and best wishes:
"to Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori on the historic occasion of the inauguration as Presiding Bishop. She will take on this responsibility in the most challenging times, but she will be supported by the good will and prayers of very many in the USA and around the world as she strives to lead faithfully, honestly and collaboratively. I pray that she will daily know the love and mercy of God in Jesus Christ as the foundation of all she does, so that this reality will radiate from her ministry and her witness. With my love and blessing, Rowan."
The Episcopal News Service leads the coverage with excellent filings all around. The Daily Episcopalian has filed several reports, as have Thinking Anglicans. Virtually every major television and print news source in The United States has issued a notice.

"lead collaboratively" ?
What is happening to my language?
Not sure what the official text of the letter says, but the Bishop of Lincoln read the closing as "with love and every blessing, Rowan", which I think is even nicer. It conjures up an abundant shower of good things, rather than one man lifting a hand in blessing.
