New Episcopal Web Sites go Online as Jefferts Schori Installed

The Episcopal Church has updated its website with new materials coinciding with the investiture of ++Katharine Jefferts Schori as Presiding Bishop. The added pages collect related materials previously scattered around the site, and also present altogether new information.

A new website about the Presiding Bishop has come online
here. It contains photos, sermons, and other information.

Another site about the Millienium Development Goals and how they are becoming a mission focus, has come online here.

Noteworthy within that group of sites, is former Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold's "Theological Reflecton" on the Millenium Development Goals:
"Indeed, the very heart of the Christian faith is the knowledge that in Christ, God has revealed the perfect ordering of all creation. "Through Christ," Paul tells us, “God was pleased to reconcile all things to himself whether in earth or on heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.” This peace is perfectly achieved in Christ, but remains sorely unrealized in our relationships with one another and the world around us. Thus, Paul makes clear, God "has given to us the ministry of reconciliation."
....
The Millenium Development Goals embody that work of the reconciliation we have been called to do. They are humanity’s response, indeed the Church’s response, to a world that stands desperately in need of repair and rebuilding. The MDGs reflect God’s passionate desire for justice and mercy, and the work of reconciliation we have been given."
